What are open pores?

Open pores are a common problem in those with a sedentary lifestyle. Our skin has minor pores and when these pores get clogged up because of excess oil secretion, the pores become stretched and this cause open pores.

When excess oil accumulates in our skin pores and due which our skin pores get stretched causing open pores, as this is an ongoing process so we cant control oil production in our skin.

What we need to do is follow such a skincare routine that not only shrink our skin pores but also balances oil production.

Sunlight also causes damage to our skin’s elastic tissues. Which causes the open pores to become more visible on the face.

Open Pores Treatment

Treatment:

There is a number of treatments available in the market for large open pores. You can use such products like Saslic Foam or Glycolic Acid Facewash also.

You should wash your face properly with either of these facewashes in the morning.

By using these facewashes, the accumulated oil and dead cells on the skin, get properly cleaned off.

After facewash, the blocked pores get opened out. The next step is to apply a good, water-based moisturizer on your face.

The third step is to apply those night creams on your face, which contain Hyaluronic Acid.

Hyaluronic Acid

This compound increases the skin’s capacity to hold moisture. due to which the skin gets “plumped up” and the pores automatically become smaller.

An effective method to use Hyaluronic Acid based creams is to apply them at night and then spray a thin layer of mineral water on top, which enables the skin to absorb even more moisture.

Best Hyaluronic Acid based creams:

Home Health – Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Cream

Nykaa – Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Cream

Loreal – Hydrafresh Cream

Retinol based creams also help to make large pores smaller. These creams keep the top surface of the skin clean and therefore prevent pores from getting blocked.

Best Retinol based creams:

Loreal’s Revitalift Cream

Cipla’s VC5 Vitamin C Serum

VC 15 Serum Niacinamide or Nicotinic Acid Cream

Retin-A 0.025

All these previously mentioned creams/serums help the skin to repair and generate more collagen or elastic tissue and therefore increase the skin’s elasticity. Due to which the skin remains taut and firm, and pores do not become enlarged.

These creams are also effective in treating wrinkles and fine lines. Apply these creams to your face at night before you go to sleep.

And in the morning, wash your face with water and apply a good moisturizer. Please remember that you should use these creams or gels to treat your skin for at least 3 months.
